About therapy
Here is a brief overview of my approach and what to expect when you come to therapy, with answers to common questions you might have.
-
Therapy can offer different things at different moments in life. Sometimes it’s a chance to gently make sense of old patterns; other times, it’s about exploring new paths and possibilities. Together, we’ll focus on deepening your self-awareness, which often brings more clarity, resilience, and a greater sense of ease in how you move through the world. There’s no one way this has to look - we’ll find a rhythm and depth that feels right for you.
-
Our first full session is a chance to explore what has brought you to therapy and to begin to get a sense of how we might work together. There’s no pressure, and we’ll go at your pace.
-
I offer open-ended sessions where we move at your pace, and you’re free to continue for as long as it feels helpful. We’ll check in regularly so you can decide what feels right for you as we go.

I am currently studying for an MSc in Humanistic Psychotherapy at Metanoia Institute and have been signed off to see clients in private practice as a psychotherapist in training. Since 2024 I have been supporting clients face-to-face and online in a local, community-based counselling service. I am a trainee member of the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and work under regular supervision in line with professional ethical standards. You can find my listing as a registered trainee psychotherapist here - UKCP Members.

My foundation is humanistic psychotherapy. Within that, I draw on ideas from Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and Person-Centred approaches, always tailored to the needs of each client.
